Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and is a great time to highlight love and friendship in our preschool and kindergarten music classes. Some of my favorite themes related to Valentine’s Day in my music classes or music therapy sessions are love, friendship, community, kindness, self-love, and compassion.
I have compiled some of my favorite songs, ideas, books and Telehealth/virtual resources that could help you plan your early childhood and elementary Valentine’s Day lessons, but that can be used throughout the year by focusing on the themes I shared with you above. If you are looking for more song ideas, there are a couple of blog post with songs that you and the kids you work with might love:
Below you will find music, books, and some Telehealth resources for your Valentine’s Day lessons. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
